Salesforce.com’s CRM solution is broken down into several modules: Sales, Service & Support, Partner Relationship Management, Marketing, Content, Ideas, Analytics, and their collaboration platform, Chatter. Salesforce users can customize their CRM application. In the system, there are tabs such as “Contacts”, “Reports”, and “Accounts”. Each tab contains associated information. For example, “Contacts” has standard fields like First Name, Last Name, and Email.


Administration

  • Creating new user accounts and configuring Salesforce.com to fit security needs at the user and organization levels in five countries with Sharing Settings, Field Accessibility, Password Policies, Session Settings, Network Access, Certificate and Key Management, Single Sign-On Settings.
  • Create and maintain profiles and roles, unlocking/resetting passwords
  • Implementation with custom Objects, Custom Apps, Layouts, Tabs, Validation Rules, Workflows, Approval processes, Assignment/Sharing Rules, Outbound/Inbound Messages.
  • Compile, analyze and communicate other key customer and marketing data and generate department and management reports and custom dashboards.
  • Manage bulk imports and exports of data between CRM and company Oracle database.
  • Support the company Managing Directors by taking full advantage of custom built functionality in SalesForce to manage their business processes and develop monthly reports.
  • Data migration and manipulation using Salesforce tools, including Backup and data mining and Data Quality Management using Apex Data loader.

Customization

  • Creating custom Object, Record Type, Page layout, Fields, Validation Rule, Filtered Views
  • Scheduling Weekly/Monthly Data Backup per department

  • Worked with third party developers to implement Custom s-controls to import data from our Oracle database into the salesforec API
  • Setup regional managers with a mobile App for Salesforce for the Blackberry
  • Setup salesfore plug-in to connect and import all email data from Microsoft Outlook including synchronization of all contacts, tasks, and calendar events, associating Outlook email messages with salesforce.com records, creating cases from Outlook email messages, and mapping custom fields in salesforce.com to fields in Outlook
