Dynamic Websites using PHP and MySQL
These sites were all built using the LAMP software stack. All these sites use a PHP processor module, which generates the web page document achieving complete separation between design and the content presented. The data is all stored in a MySQL relational database management system (RDBMS). Website versioning through subversion ( tortoise svn). All graphics were designed using Photoshop.
*Some of these sites are being being rebuilt using a responsive design for Mobile use – they will also have all social connection to Facebook and Twitter

Site built using the LAMP stack of Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP – with JQuery Libraries and AJAX, Flash, CSS, DHTML and JavaScript. Other technologies used: PHP CAPTCHA, Google Map integrations, two WordPress blogs and Picasa Integration.
Development
Performed full life-cycle development including; (1) Full Analysis: Working with all Stakeholders in the association (over 300 businesses) using all viewpoints and perspectives. (2) Specification Building: Building modules of the site including general layout, site navigation and dynamic parts of the site included in the spec sheet. (3) Design and development: Layouts and navigation were designed along with the MySQL database with all the data structures and sample data. (4) Coding: Added code without disturbing the design prototype. (4) Full Beta testing on the test server before going live.
Design
- All images, icons were created using Abode Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator CS.
- Normalized MySQL database on a Linux/Apache platform created, updated and maintained using the MySQL’s ER modelling tool MySQL Workbench.
- PHP hand coded using NetBeans and Dreamweaver (for folder syncing).
- Social Networking Integration with Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Gowalla, Yelp and MySpace.
The Cloud
Fully Integrating Google Apps for the yorkbia.com domain using Google’s servers as their company mail servers including POP access to allow for full e-mail backup into Outlook. Setup of all mail forwarding and Auto Responses etc. Created HTML E-mail Templates to increased interactivity with their customers.
All business and store database and work-flow is updated and stored in Google Docs.
Web Analytics
Incorporated full Google web analytics integration and created basic training manual for all Admins, businesses and staff. The admin have access to three dashboards – a mobile dashboard, AdWords dashboard including Keyword analysis, a Business Profile dashboard tracking all the businesses in the BIA and which are performing well with which keywords and which are not and lastly a basic Pageview, Bounce etc Dashboard.

The site also uses security access with an SSL order form to register new members
